ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Lewisburg at City Hall, 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg, West Virginia 24901 until 2:30 p.m., June 30, 2016.
The bid price shall include the cost for furnishing labor, materials and performing all the work set forth in the advertisement for bids, information for bidders, form of proposal, general conditions for the construction, supplement general conditions, drawings and detail specifications. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals that have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work to be done is described as security upgrades to City Hall.
Specifications and details will be available at a mandatory Pre-bid conference to be held at the project site at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington St. W, Lewisburg, WV on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the mandatory pre-bid conference is to discuss the project and tour the facility to outline the proposed construction to take place. All prospective bidders are required to attend.
Construction time limit is 90 working days. There will be a penalty of $100 per day beyond that for every day that construction is not complete.
Each bid must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope.
All bidding documents shall be submitted in a single envelope address to the Owner marked with the following information in the lower left hand corner:
“Name and address of bidder”

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty {60) days after the time of the opening of the bids. Any Contractor submitting a bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates and acknowledges that he/she has a valid WV Contractor’s license, a City of Lewisburg business license and meets the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The City of Lewisburg reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
