PUBLIC NOTICE The West Virginia Division of Forestry will be conducting a public tour at Camp Creek State Forest Saturday, June 25, 2016. This tour will be to inform the public of plans for a proposed timber harvest prescribed to enhance wildlife habitat by creating forest diversity. This same harvest will regenerate quality hardwood species such as red oak and yellow poplar. The tour of the area near Puzzle Branch off of Route 19 will take place at 10:00 a.m. Meet at the Exxon gas station just off the Camp Creek exit on I-77. Bring substantial footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather, snacks and water. The tour will involve a one-half to 1 mile hike on uneven ground in the woods. There are some hills along the tour path. This is the opportunity for the public to learn about the proposed project in order to provide meaningful input and comments. For more information contact Travis Miller at (304) 545-9015 or via email at Travis.M.Miller@wv.gov.
